Senior Sales & Business Development Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Sales & Business Development Specialist with focus on general logistics; (included not limited to warehousing, 3 PL and BCO management) to join our team in Istanbul, Türkiye. In this role you execute commercial activities and seek for opportunities in accordance with commercial team strategy to create profitable business. You need to understand and work with shipping lines, cargo owner/influencer, forwarder, truckers and Customs executives and brokers.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Researching and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
• Set up meetings with potential clients and gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
• Monitor data management, keep accurate product, contract, pricing and invoicing information ensuring that targets are met
• Comply with Fatal Risk Standards, Health & Safety Policy and safe working practices, ensure responsibility for safety and discipline in work area and report accidents and ‘near misses’ in accordance with defined safety procedures
• Provide and calculate accurate information on business cases and be an ambassador for the company internally and externally

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business development or equivalent studies
• Min. 3 years of experience in container, terminal, freight forwarder in commercial and/or and functions of container terminal or line operator or similar
• Proven Operational Logistics Management experience as well as project based and supply chain logistics experience
• Profound experience in project management and process improvement is advantage
• Experience in warehousing, 3 PL or BCO management
• Upper-intermediate Microsoft Office skills e.g. Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English and Turkish
